Fear is the security guard
Yo forgot to pay;
Thick as a plank, horribly hard
But useful, in his way.
Rage erupts when anger turns
The key beside his cage,
He feeds upon himself, but spurns
To take a servant;s wage.
Guilt is Mr. Hyde, the spouse
Of foolish, idle tears;
If once you let him in the house-
He stays for years and years!
Hate is hurt that never healed,
Grief, a wound where love has kneeled,
Time its only balm.
Want supplies a heel with wings,
(it never learns to fly),
Pandora's box is full of things-
Better let them lie.
